Italo Buleje

Italo Buleje is a Senior Software Engineer at IBM Research, Healthcare and Life Sciences. He is part of the Foundational Innovation team to develop, pilot, and incubate advanced cognitive technologies for healthcare and life sciences, including big data, NLP, reasoning, and learning.  He brings expertise in Big Data and Data Management for Advanced Analytics initiatives. 

Prior to joining IBM Research, Italo was a member of IBM Watson Health and IBM Global Business Services where he delivered enterprise solutions, with a focus on Data and Content Management, in multiple industries. Italo has over 12 years of industry experience primarily around Advanced Analytics, Content Management and Data Science.

Italo holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Florida International University and an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Boston University.
