Gianmarco Gabrieli is a Pre-Doctoral researcher at IBM Research Europe - Zurich and part of the Accelerated Discovery & AI department. His research mostly focuses on developing AI-assisted chemical sensing technologies for rapid fingerprinting of complex liquids. He is part of the AI for Scientific Discovery team and is developing HyperTaste, a reconfigurable and portable electronic tongue that can be leveraged for a wide range of applications, including accelerated quality control and product innovation.

He studied Micro- and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems and received a double M.Sc. Degree in 2019 from Politecnico di Torino, Grenoble INP and got a joint degree title from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He holds a Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino where he was selected to join the Young Talent Project.
