Bio

Leonid serves as a Principal Research Scientist (Senior Technical Staff Member) in the Exploratory Science division of IBM Research. Leonid joined IBM Research in July 2015 and is currently employed there as a Senior Technical Staff member (STSM). Before joining IBM, he served as a research scientist in Applied Materials, Elbit, and FDNA. He is actively publishing, reviewing, and performing occasional chair duties at ECCV, ICCV, CVPR, ICLR, AAAI, WACV, ICASSP, EMNLP, and NeurIPS. For about 6 years, Leonid served as a steering committee member for IMVC. During his time at IBM, he managed a team of 7 talented researchers and students and led and co-authored numerous research papers in the areas of augmented reality, medical applications, self-supervised, cross-domain, multi-modal, language, and few-shot learning. He received his PhD degree at the Weizmann Institute of Science, supervised by Prof. Shimon Ullman.
