Gosia Lazuka

Malgorzata received her B.Sc. degree in Robotics and Automation from Warsaw University of Technology in Poland and her M.Sc. degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zürich in Switzerland. During this time, she focused on autonomous mobile robotics and machine learning.

In 2019, she joined IBM Research Zurich for a summer internship, during which she worked on a heterogeneous gradient boosting algorithm.

In November 2020, Malgorzata returned to IBM Research as a Predoctoral Researcher in the Data & AI Systems group. Her PhD research is conducted in affiliation with the Instutite of Machine Learning of ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Fanny Yang.

Her current research focuses on algorithms optimizing cloud deployment in multi-cloud settings. Her broader research interests include automated machine learning (AutoML), meta learning and autonomy in mobile robotics.
