Predoctoral Researcher

IBM Research Europe - Zurich Zurich, Switzerland

I received my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2021, and my M.S. degree in the same area in 2023, both from ETH Zurich. Since November 2023, I am a predoctoral researcher in the In-Memory Computing lab at IBM Research-Zurich, working under the supervision of Dr. Abbas Rahimi. I am also affiliated with Prof. Thomas Hoffman’s Data Analytics Lab at ETH Zurich, where I am currently working towards obtaining a doctorate in Computer Science.

My research is centred on characterising fundamental limitations of modern deep neural network models when applied on algorithmic and reasoning tasks. I am also interested in exploring the possibility of expanding the reasoning capabilities of said models by utilising ideas which originally stem from computational cognitive science, specifically the area of vector-symbolic architectures.
