Magneto-photoluminescence and photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy experiments are performed up to 5 Teslas at 1.7 K on a 〈111〉 grown CdTe/Cd0.93Mn0.07Te superlattice. The results are compared with calculations of the energy levels and of the exciton binding energies, including field-induced negative offsets. A type I → type II transition is evidenced near 2 Teslas and a value of 15-20% of the bandgap energy difference is deduced for the valence band offset. © 1990.
