Fundamental properties of cuprate superconductors as probed by infrared spectroscopy
Abstract
A brief, selective review shows the unconventional nature of the normal state, the loss of spectral weight and appearance of a 500 cm-1 psuedo-gap in the low temperature infrared conductivity, and the evidence for pair formation above Tc in YBa2Cu3O7-x. © 1994.
