AIHWKIT-Lightning: A Scalable HW-Aware Training Toolkit for Analog In-Memory Computing

William Simon is a research staff member at IBM-Zurich in the Hybrid Cloud department. He is originally from the USA, where he received his bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University. He continued his education at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, receiving his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering before continuing to work on digital in-memory computing at the Embedded Systems Laboratory. Dr. Simon focuses specifically on computer architectures and systems for analog and digital in-memory computing and non-Von Neumann architectures, as well as developing applications for said architectures in various domains including language, vision, and genomics processing.
