Bio

Master's Student in Computer Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, Brazil) –– doing research focusing on AI Fairness and Privacy, and Research Fellow at University of California, Berkeley, in the Algorithms and Inequality Research Group, supervised by Professor Rediet Abebe. Completed B.Sc in Computational Mathematics @ UFMG, a degree based on computer science and applied mathematics. Black in AI community member; a place for sharing ideas, fostering collaborations, and discussing initiatives to increase the presence of Black people in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Completely involved in actions that promote women in STEM and Founder and creator of Girls Support Girls Community in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Research topic of interest: Fairness and Bias in AI, Privacy, Explicability, Ethics & Trustworthy AI, Math Applied, and Computational Biology applications.
