Lorenzo Rocchino joined IBM Research - Zurich in 2021 as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher in the Science & Technology group.
His research, supported by an SNF Ambizione grant, mainly focuses on the development of novel nanoelectronic devices based on topological materials.
Lorenzo received his B. Sc. degree in Physical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2019 and his M. Sc. degree in Nanotechnologies for ICTs (Electronic Engineering) at Politecnico di Torino in 2020. In the same year, he already worked at IBM Research - Zurich for his Master's Thesis project focused on the simulation of Weyl semimetal devices for cryogenic and quantum applications.
