The design of a scalable discovery service for moving networked resources
Abstract
The discovery of the moving network resources that allowed scalable tracking of moving objects was analyzed. The Mobiscope, a service for discovering moving objects for the applications such as automobile tracking and online gaming, is studied. Mobiscope distributed ad and query processing throughout the network and ensured that all queries returned all matching ads. It was found that a workload generator and a Mobiscope simulator were implemented to test the Mobiscope's scalability.
