Strategies for crosslinking NLO-polymers across the chromophore
Abstract
The remarkable scope of the ROMP-synthesis and the Pd-catalyzed acetylene coupling reaction has been exploited to produce a range of interesting new reactive polymers containing NLO-chromophores. These materials are being studied to establish the effectiveness of 'across dipole crosslinking' as a means of imparting alignment stability in poled NLO-active polymers for electrooptic applications.
