Soliton dynamics in quantum Ising-like antiferromagnetic chains (invited)
Abstract
The spin dynamics of quantum Ising-like antiferromagnetic chains is dominated by propagating domain walls or solitons. A characteristic low-frequency component of the dynamical spin correlation function associated with thermally excited solitons appears at elevated temperatures. The soliton effects on the correlation function can be observed in neutron scattering experiments on the quasi-one-dimensional magnetic materials CsCoBr3 and CsCoC3.
