On the completeness and conversion of ray representations of arbitrary solids
Abstract
The completeness and conversion of ray representations (ray-reps) of arbitrary solids are discussed. The first set of results indicate that the ray-reps can be complete representations of solids when enhanced with h-tags, and when generated with suitable ray grids. The second set of results covers representation conversion. Methods for using ray-reps to accelerate conversions are also discussed.
