Magnetic interactions in superconducting lanthanum intermetallic compounds
Abstract
Measurements of the electronic specific heat and susceptibility of the superconducting intermetallic compound LaIn3 indicate that the susceptibility is exchange enhanced by a factor of 5.76. This corresponds to an effective electron-electron interaction of 2.91 eV. Using a simple model for the electronic density of states which postulates a peak in the vicinity of the Fermi energy, we obtain a good fit to the experimental temperature-dependent susceptibility. © 1971.
