FM/Stark double-modulation spectroscopy for the detection of weak spectral features in solids
Abstract
Simultaneous frequency modulation of the laser light and Stark modulation of the absorbing centers provides a sensitive, zero-background technique for the detection of weak spectral features, such as statistical fine structure for pentacene in p-terphenyl crystals at low concentration and for Cr3+ ions in alexandrite.
