Bayesian approach to quality modelling

Abstract

Some methods and techniques, currently available for the quality modelling of manufacturing facilities, are reviewed. A procedure to incorporate prior knowledge into discrete models has been developed using Bayesian methods. A useful improvement in forecasting, represented by a reduction in confidence interval range for the predicted output quality, has been achieved.
