Elif Eyigoz has a multi-disciplinary background with degrees in Philosophy (BA), Cognitive Science (MA), Linguistics (MA), and Computer Science (MS and PhD), and as a believer of life-long learning, she is currently a graduate student at the department of Statistics at the Columbia University.
After she completed her PhD in Computer Science, she joined IBM in 2014 as a natural language processing (NLP) algorithms developer at Watson Labs, and later joined IBM research in 2016 as a researcher.
Her current research interests include disease progression modeling, drug discovery, and applications of NLP in healthcare.
