Bharat Sukhwani is a Senior Research Scientist and Manager at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. His research focuses on all aspects of FPGA-based computing, from application acceleration to chip emulation and everything in between, including the design of hardware accelerators, software interface and hardware-software co-design. His most recent focus has been in the use of FPGAs for Cloud infrastructure, including smartNICs, distributed, network-attached storage, and computational storage. Dr. Sukhwani is also interested in custom hardware accelerators for AI and Foundation Model workloads, chiplet based designs and cloud-optimized processors.
