Systems design issues in manufacturing process control
Abstract
A manufacturing plant process control system generally has hierarchical layers of control and involves many elements of technology. A discussion is presented of the requirements and design issues for manufacturing process control (MPC). Much of the discussion focuses on process-control technology as it relates to system design.
