Industry trends and software assurance

Abstract

A first-hand perspective on the commercial software industry and the pressures that are shaping trends will be discussed. Specifically, the following aspects will be emphasized: Customers' desire for high quality/reliability from their software. Growing adoption of Industry standards. Increasing mix of open source and proprietary code.
