Fractal geometry: a new mathematical language of nature's shapes
Abstract
The history of the development of fractal geometry is briefly sketched out, and fractals are discussed in relation to mathematical monsters and self-similarity. The application of fractal concepts in science, art, and music is briefly touched on.
