Language Models Utilization

The Language Models Utilization (LMU) effort aims to empower clients to make the most out of LLMs. We focus mainly on two use cases – text classification and summarization. Leveraging LLMs for these use cases involve lots of subtle details, e.g., selecting an effective configuration of hyper-parameters, defining the inference prompt, developing wise methods for labeled data collection, and more. The LMU effort serves as the IBM hub of knowledge and expertise in this context. Our work is very much practically oriented.
