COVID-19 - IBM Proximity Tracing Backend
(joint project with IBM's Zurich Research Lab)
Researchers from the CCoE are collaborating with a team from IBM's Zurich Research Lab to design, evaluate and develop a privacy preserving contact tracing backend solution. This solution is the basis of an IBM offering for both government and enterprise markets, and is part of a suite of projects to combat different aspects of COVID-19 response.
The solution is a cloud-native system based on the DP3T protocol and aligned with the requirements defined by Apple and Google for use their defacto standard mobile SDK.The backend developed by our team is integrated with enterprise contact tracing solutions, enabling smooth integration with "Back to work" solutions, while preserving employee's privacy. The IBM Proximity Preserving Backend is currently integrated in both internal and external IBM solutions.
