A Cyber Innovation Hub
IBM's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Beer Sheva was announced by IBM in 2014. The announcement event was honored by the presence of Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu, BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi and the Mayor of Beer Sheva, Mr. Ruvik Danilovich.
The Center is based in Beer Sheva's vibrant cyber technology park, in adjacency to Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. It is the home for a relatively small but influential team of IBM security researchers and engineers who investigate emerging cyber threat and solutions, in collaboration with university researchers, government agencies, clients and partners.
Organization
CCoE, as the IBM Security Innovation hub in Israel, is the latest addition to IBM's global network of more than 8,000 security researchers, developers and experts. With this global team, IBM operates one of the world's broadest enterprise security research, development and delivery organizations. This includes 9 security operations centers, 12 IBM Research centers, and 14 software security development labs.
