Refining Piecewise Stationary Approximation for a Markov-regulated fluid queue

Abstract

This paper presents a refinement of the Piecewise Stationary Approximation for the stationary distribution of a Markov-regulated fluid queue. The refinement is analytically justified. Its accuracy and utility are demonstrated.
