Corruption is seen as a development issue in Africa. Many countries cannot bear it as it impedes development and minimizes the abilities of governments to reduce poverty levels. In the last decade, usage of ICTs for governance has increased with an aim of providing more efficient services and information to the public. Usage of mobile phone devices has also provided an alternative means for citizens to interact with service providers in a faster and less costly way. This paper focuses on the Kenyan water sector and looks into the factors necessary for the adoption of mGovernance applications as a means to increase service delivery satisfaction and, transparency and accountability and thus reduce corruption rates in the country.
