Identification of a second resonant state of H2-
Abstract
A previous calculation (Taylor and Thomas 1972) suggested the existence of a second resonant state of H2- which has since been observed experimentally at 17.2 eV. A new analysis of the calculated data yields a state which is 60 per cent (2p)3 and 20 per cent (2s)2(2p) with an energy of 17.26 eV.
