Abstract
In antiferromagnets with orthorhombic symmetry, the surface of first-order spin-flop transitions is connected to the paramagnetic phase boundary in a bicritical line, provided the field lies in the easy-hard plane. We have experimentally verified this spin-flop bicritical line in GdAlO3. © 1977.
