November 17, 2020 - Cyber Security Awareness Week - Applied Research Competition
(Part of Cyber Security Awareness Week)
In this event, IBM and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev hosted a group of researchers to present the best security papers in the industry and academia that were published over the last 12 months. The event was held in collaboration with New York University as part of the global Cyber Security Awareness Week. For more details please see https://www.csaw.io/israel.
The winning papers in the third annual event, held by Zoom on November 17, were:
- Jonathan Berger (presenter), Amit Klein, and Benny Pinkas: Flaw Label: Exploiting IPv6 Flow Label - First Prize.
- Amir Rubin (presenter), Danny Hendler, and Shay Kels: AMSI-Based Detection of Malicious PowerShell Code Using Contextual Embeddings - Second Prize.
- Meni Orenbach (presenter), Andrew Baumann, and Mark Silberstein: Autarky: Closing Controlled Channels with Self-paging Enclaves - Third Prize.
