January 31, 2018 - IBM Inaugurates New Facilities for CCoE in Beer Sheva
On Wednesday January 31st 2018 IBM opened the new offices of its Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) in Beer Sheva. For the past four years, the CCoE operated within the campus of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, but has now officially moved to a new location in Gav Yam Negev High Tech Park to expand acivities. The new center was formally opened by Marc van Zadelhoff, General Manager of IBM’s Global Security Division, in a ceremony attended by the Beer Sheva Mayor Rubik Danilovich, IBM Israel CEO Daniel Melka, President of Ben-Gurion University Prof. Rivka Carmi and Head of the Excellence Center Prof. Yaron Wolfsthal. In the new spacious facility, CCoE research will have an expanded focus on software and data security, insider threats, secure networks for connected vehicles, detection of modern malware and behavior-focused biometrics.
