It has been a monumental year for AI research and development, and we've seen the first glimpses of the potential for generative AI to upend just about every industry. This week at Think 2023, IBM's premier annual conference, the company unveiled watsonx, a new platform for foundation models and generative AI, that includes a studio, data store, and governance toolkit.

As part of the platform, we launched watsonx.ai, which will serve as the development studio where trustworthy data, powered by AI foundation models tailored to the task at hand, that will deliver value to enterprises at scale.

At IBM, we believe that there won't be "one model to rule them all," but rather different models tuned in different ways for specific use cases. We're developing models for language, geospatial imagery, code, chemistry, and many other modalities. And we're partnering with Hugging Face to bring access to the wider open-source AI community into watsonx.

To learn more about the future of generative AI in enterprise, watch Senior Vice President and Director of IBM Research Darío Gil and Clem Delangue, co-founder and CEO of Hugging Face, discuss the potential of watsonx to close out this year's Think conference.
