Abstract
The IBM Telum chip is the next generation processor for IBM Z and LinuxOne. It is designed to deliver the next step-function in performance for enterprise-class workloads, with a redesigned cache architecture optimized for cache size and low latencies. The new embedded AI accelerator is designed to enable real-time AI inferencing to enable clients to gain insights from their data as it is getting processed. For example, in-transaction real-time inference will help clients to prevent fraud in credit card processing and detect risky transaction in Clearing and Settlement applications.
