Symmetry of the order parameter: Implications for the transport properties of grain boundaries
Abstract
Implications of a dx2-y2 symmetry component of the order parameter for the transport properties of grain boundaries in high-Tc superconductors are discussed. Among other effects, the dx2-y2 symmetry causes intrinsic weak links, inhomogeneous current distributions in the junctions and reduced IcRn products.
