Smart memory: A neuromorphic semiconductor memory
Abstract
After half a century of progress abiding by Moore's Law, the semiconductor industry is finding it harder to continue Moore's prediction forward. The transition from reliance on the shrinking transistors the current trend is tuning the silicon for Artificial Intelligent designs. Much of the trending AI designs are geared up to accelerate a proven machine-learning technique called Deep Learning. In this paper, we will examine an alternative neuromorphic approach.
