Silicon-on-insulator polarization splitter-rotator based on TM0-TE1 mode conversion in a Bi-level taper
Abstract
The first demonstration of a silicon-on-insulator polarization splitter-rotator using TM0-TE1 mode conversion in a bi-level taper is reported. The device was fabricated in a foundry process and exhibits a polarization crosstalk < -13 dB. © 2013 The Optical Society.
