Reliability Analysis of Redundant-Path Interconnection Networks
Abstract
The reliability of some redundant-path multistage interconnection networks is characterized. The classes of networks are: the Generalized Indra Networks, Merged Delta Networks, and Augmented C-Networks. The reliability measures are: terminal reliability and broadcast reliability. Symbolic expressions are derived for these reliability measures in terms of component reliabilities. The results are useful in comparing network designs for a given reliability requirement. © 1989 IEEE
