Physical properties of an electron beam - sliding spark device
Abstract
A novel device employing the interaction of a tightly pinched electron beam with a dense plasma formed by a sliding spark capillary discharge has been investigated. Experimental results show that such arrangements are potentially useful for lasing in the short wavelength (below 200 Å) region.
