Polarization wake by fast charged particles: The density effect

Using a recently developed "complete wake" description of the passage of a fast charged particle through matter, stopping power is found from Liénard-Wiechert potentials. The description properly accounts for energy loss rates by fast particles, inclusive of the density effect. © 1982.
