Observation of resonant modes of coupled domain walls
Abstract
The controlled manipulation and injection of domain walls (DWs) in magnetic nanowires by field and current forms the basis of a number of promising memory[1] and logic devices[2]. In these devices, information is encoded through the orientation of the magnetic domains. High data storage density in these devices naturally requires the placement of DWs in as close proximity to each other as possible. However, most studies of DW motion to date, have studied the dynamics of single DWs in magnetic nanowires. Here we explore the dynamics of DWs which are coupled together within the same nanowire. © 2014 IEEE.
