Low-frequency elastic shear constant and low-temperature configuration of K1-xLixTaO3
Abstract
Elastic shear constant data are presented for K1-xLi xTaO3 at very low frequencies near the transition temperature to a glass phase. A comparison made with dielectric-susceptibility data reveals the character of the relaxation modes. The low-temperature state is described in terms of short dipolar but long quadrupolar correlation.
