High peak power FA (II) color center laser for time-resolved infrared spectroscopy
Abstract
A pulsed, narrow-band FA (II) color center laser is described which provides peak powers up to 20 kW with a band-width below 0.3 cm-1 in the wavelength range from 2.4 μm to 2.9 μm. A frequency-doubled Nd: YAG laser is used as a pump source. The high peak power and short pulse length makes this layer system very attractive for time-resolved infrared spectroscopy on a nonosecond timescale. © 1981.
