Evaluation of the crystallographic optical anisotropy in MnBi
Abstract
A technique for evaluating the optical anisotropy of fine-grain polycrystalline thin films is developed. This method is applied to MnBi with the low-temperature NiAs structure. It is estimated that the optical anisotropy is less than half the magneto-optic effect. © 1974 American Institute of Physics.
