Eighth workshop on information integration on the web (IIWeb 2011)

Abstract

The goal of the Eighth Workshop on Information Integration on the Web (IIWeb 2011), held in conjunction with WWW 2011 on March 28th, 2011 at Hyderabad, India was to bring together academic researchers and industry practitioners in Information Integration. This edition had a special focus on challenges brought out in integrating cyber physical systems (CPS) for building a sustainable ecosystem for life on our planet. The workshop program consisted of three invited talks and six presentations from authors of accepted papers, all focussed in the area of cyber physical system creation for smarter traffic, intelligence gathering etc. The six papers were picked from a pool of twenty two papers submitted to the workshop after a peer review process. The workshop attracted about 30 registered delegates of WWW 201. © 2011 ACM.
