Coulomb correction for Ca40 from a relativistic optical model
Abstract
An effective Coulomb correction term arising from the second order Dirac equation is calculated for Ca40. The optical potential used consists of a mixture of a Lorentz scalar potential and the timelike component of a Lorentz four-vector potential. These calculations show that the real Coulomb correction term resulting naturally from the Dirac equation is in agreement with empirics.
