Analysis of using granules to find association rules
Abstract
The analysis and the discovery of information require the generalization or classification of the data to hypothesize on possible conclusions. Within this process, we formulate methodologies, e.g. computer algorithms, that digest the data and possibly produce results, i.e. patterns. In this paper, I explain the concept of granular computing, where data are represented as granules and how granules are used in data mining. Among the data mining technique, granule computing is used to find association rules. © 2005 IEEE.
