Akihiro Kosugi started his carrer as software engineer in Lotus software development from 1996 and joined IBM Research in 2011.

Since then, he has joined social compuing research projects including Beyond Discussions and Crowd Card. Recently, he is working for aging research including Senior Cloud project: developing platforms that helps communication among senior citizens such as SNS, enhanced video conferences, and tele-presence robots.

He is also a swimmer and a diver.
