Towards a real time public transport awareness system: Case study in Dublin
Abstract
In this paper we discuss our experience with the design of a public transport awareness application developed for the city of Dublin. The application is capable to ingest, analyze and visualize in real-time high volumes of traffic data coming from a variety of sources. We address the challenges encountered during the design of the application and propose novel solutions to tackle those challenges. Copyright 2011 ACM.
