Theory of the structural transition in NbSn and V3Si
Abstract
A dynamic theory, based on the electron-phonon interaction, of the cubic-to-tetragonal transformation in the β-tungsten structure is presented. The theory explains why Nb3Sn behaves differently from V3Si and shows that the lattice softening does not influence the superconducting transition. © 1970 The American Physical Society.
