The Framework Supporting QoS-enabled Web Services
Abstract
Web services are becoming the favorable infrastructure supporting distributed computing on Internet. To address the challenges of Quality of Service (QoS) for web services, this paper presents a generic framework supporting QoS-enabled web services by introducing two mechanisms- QoS extraction and QoS mapping. The proposed framework supports design, development and deployment of QoS-aware web services, and can be considered as the first step towards building a complete and robust infrastructure enabling QoS-aware web services.
